Northern Lights shines bright on horizon

The Scotiabank Northern Music Festival organizing committee has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Julianne Lyons.

The festival committee his year is composed of Christopher Wilshere, artistic director; Roseann Wilshere, marketing director; Michael Brown, treasurer; Vivien Brown, secretary; Rita Frost, box office manager; Judy Parker, patrons; Claudette Stevenson, webmaster; Bill Dingwall, fundraising chairperson; Dan and Paula McTavish, members-at-large, Tom Gladney, member-at-large, and many, many volunteers who make the whole thing happen.

The festival dates for 2012 are February 17 to March 2, with eight public concerts in and around Ajijic and six private concerts for patrons.

Tickets are not yet on sale but patrons are already signing up. Those interested in become patrons of the Scotiabank Northern Lights Festival should contact Judy Parker at judytravels80@gmail.com or call her at (376) 766-5379.
