Camera lessons
Jill Flyer and Luis Mancera McCormick are again offering a five-week course in photography at the Gonzalez Gallo Cultural Center in Chapala (the old train station). The course, starting on Wednesday, March 4 and ending on March 31, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., will cost 500 pesos. The classes cover the history of photography, how to use manual controls on a camera, composition, lighting and other topics.
According to Flyer, students will be given specific assignments “in the field.” Constructive commentary to students’ work will be given. These are fun classes and a fun way to learn photography. Students can join the class with any kind of camera, whether it’s point-and-shoot, film-based or digital.
