I know that I could get all of this stuffed “fixed” but it also tells a story of a life well-lived. There are lines like parentheses around my mouth and eyes that are sure signs of laughter (sometimes so long and so hard that I cried and my eyelids turned inside out) and a certain friendliness about the deeper set of the eyes that also shows what I like to think is the acquisition of a little wisdom along the way.
Looking back I have to say that it has been a damn good run. I’ve really had it all: great parents and a super sister who followed me around and has finally followed me here, a huge extended family, lots of love and loves, beautiful and healthy daughters and grandchildren, loyal and life-long friends, travel, adventure, the world of art and the arts, and Mexico for nearly half my life.
Best of all – even though this is surely the third act, life is still endlessly interesting and exciting and I know there is another adventure just waiting to be lived.
