On November 24, park rangers, government conservationists and secondary school students gathered in the Primavera Forest outside Guadalajara to liberate 40 owls, hawks, coatis, possums, skunks, snakes and other wild creatures native to this kind of woods. These animals had previously been brought to Mexican animal shelters for care and/or rehabilitation (See “Found a Python in your yard?” in the October 2, 2009 Reporter).
