As it gets hotter and the rain birds start singing, many of us become excited, because soon the cooling rains will arrive, and the wooded areas will turn a beautiful green. But what we might forget, is that along with the rain comes thunder and lightning.

Most of the TV we watch here comes to us via satellite, either directly from the satellite antenna on our rooftops, or from the antennas picking up the signals for our cable companies. The satellites that we are pointing at are geosynchronous and are positioned over the Equator.
