Danger, lightning

As it gets hotter and the rain birds start singing, many of us become excited, because soon the cooling rains will arrive, and the wooded areas will turn a beautiful green. But what we might forget, is that along with the rain comes thunder and lightning.

In the early 1990s before internet arrived in Mexico, it was quite costly to make a national long distance phone call and even worse when making an international call.

Satellite TV signals to be blocked

Most of the TV we watch here comes to us via satellite, either directly from the satellite antenna on our rooftops, or from the antennas picking up the signals for our cable companies. The satellites that we are pointing at are geosynchronous and are positioned over the Equator.

I’m regularly asked; “Which TV system is best for me?” And there is no single answer, for there are many options, each offering slightly different programming, and only you know the programming that you want to watch.
