Telmex bill online

Many of you know what it’s like when it’s that time of the month and a bill you know you have to pay or risk being cutoff, doesn’t arrive.  In March we learned that should you not receive your bimonthly electrical bill that you can go online to www.cfe.gob.mx and setup an online account allowing you to check the amount owed via the internet.

Today, let’s learn how to do check online to discover how much you owe on your Telmex bill. With your computer go to www.telmex.com.mx. This is the same webpage you can go to if you have an internet account with Telmex to check your email.

But today let’s left-click on the tab immediately to the right of “Correo” titled “Mi Telmex”. Once you have done so, you will see where a registered user would place his ten digit phone number and below that, his password. He could then check what his monthly bill was on line, should the bill not show up in the mail.

To register and set up your online account, look for and left-click on the word Registrate (Register), which is located immediately below where you would place your password. A registration form will come up on your screen. In section 1 you’re asked to fill in your name, and email address. The first text box or blank space is for your last name, don’t fill in blank two. In blank three put your other given names, (I recommend you copy your name as shown on your telephone bill). In blank space four enter your email address. And in five re-enter your email address

In section 2 you’re asked to enter your ten digit telephone number to include your area code. Don’t leave any spaces between the numbers. You will need to create a password that is 4 to 8 characters in length. Enter this new password in the second and third text box in section 2

Section 3 is optional. Immediately below Section 3 is a picture of the verification code that you need to copy in the space provided immediately below the picture.

And finally don’t forget to left-click in the box to the left of the sentence, Acepto Políticas de uso. Now left-click “Entrar”. If you’ve filled out the form correctly, you will be so informed. Mi Telmex will send an activation email to the address you filled in above. That email repeats the number you just registered and the password you used and  instructs you to call an 800 number using the phone you wish to register and then after listening to a short message you are to select option 1 and hang up.

Ten minutes later you should be able to go on line as explained above, you know, left-click on “Mi Telmex”, and sign-on to Mi Telmex by entering your ten digit telephone number and your new password. If you did everything correctly, you will be taken to a webpage which shows the amount you owe.

If you understand a little Spanish, take a look at the other many services you can take advantage of on “Mi Telmex”.
