So far this year, Zapopan inspectors say they have confiscated 16 puppies that were being illegally offered for sale during Sunday’s art market at the Glorieta Chapalita.
If the animals are in good health, they are usually returned after the transgressors pay a small fine. However, some of the animals offered for sale, inspectors say, are sick and undernourished, and these are not returned. The vendors have taken advantage of the Sunday market, where many owners walk their dogs, or like to show off their well-groomed qualities.
