Paulina, the 18-year-old daughter of Mario Jimenez of Ajijic Electronics, had a terrible accident on an ATV vehicle two weeks ago. She is in critical condition and in an induced coma. She has a brain injury as well as broken ribs and a punctured lung and is on life support. Though the original prognosis didn’t leave her family much hope, she has improved a little with the swelling in her brain diminishing and other signs of a possible slow recovery.
Her treatment costs lots of money and her family could surely use some help with the medical costs. A bank account has been set up to collect any good will donations by Lakeside residents at Bancomer. The account number is #2733349160 or on line with Bancomer with a wire transfer account, #012324027333491606. The name on the account is under the name of Mario Jimenez Rodriguez.
For further information contact Jimenez’s business partner Mike Merryman at (376) 766-1117 or 766-3311.

Thanks a lot
Thanks to the kindness of donors, Vince Massi of the Love in Action Children’s Shelter writes that the Center now has 13 educational computers in the Computer Lab. Some of the kids had missed years of school and the wide variety of educational software, along with tutors and supervisors, is giving then the opportunity to catch up.
Motivated by their own enthusiasm, students with reading difficulties have learned to use the keyboards, follow written instructions and solve problems involving language and logic skills. Supervisors are pleased at how willingly the children help each other to understand the programs and how much their abilities to function in society are improving. Soooo – thanks to the many Love in Action supporters at Lakeside and abroad for their generosity.
Those who would like to volunteer in any capacity at the Love In Action Center should contact Dave Hoogenberg at (376) 766-4110 or at volunteers@loveinactioncenter.org.
