From Canada, with harmony

PUERTO VALLARTA - The Vallarta Chamber Orchestra will present its spring concert at the American School in Puerto Vallarta, March 15, with a Canadian composer as the central attraction.

Canadian John Robertson will have his piece Hinemoa and Tutanekai showcased at the event.

Robertson took a three year course at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in 1967 and hasn’t looked back since. Composing has become his lifelong passion and he has had his compositions performed over 30 times, including four times by the Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra.

The performance will also include works by Bach, Beethoven, Verdi and Grieg.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. The American School is located directly south of the airport, near Plaza Marina.
