Mexico’s copying culture starts in class

Picture this:  you’re at university and have been up quite late the night before studying for an exam. It’s in Spanish — you’re a bit nervous and the teacher starts handing out the papers.  The exam begins and all of a sudden someone moans “the questions are too hard sir, it’s not faaaiirr ... can you change them?!”  Such catcalling and complaints proceed for the entire hour, as students openly and loudly copy and cheat from each other.  Todos nos ayudamos (We all help each other) is the rationale, and it seems the university system in Mexico is very different indeed from the one back home. *Restricted Article* - To view rest of this content, please login or register..
