Situated in the mountains of Sierra Madre Occidental, Nayarit, beside the tranquil waters of Lake Agua Milpa, is Tawexikta Lugar del Sol, an eco-tourism center built and run by the local Huichol community. Despite their appetite for success, the isolated location and lack of communication facilities – they only have one satellite phone – have left them struggling to attract visitors.
