Breaking a new product into any market is difficult. Doing so in a market dominated by two companies that enjoy a virtual monopoly seems almost impossible – on paper, at least.
Nevertheless, owners of local Tapatio microbreweries are sidestepping barriers, swallowing enforced additional costs and looking to their northern neighbor as a model for how the beer industry can undergo rapid change.
