Jalisco Governor Emilio Gonzalez and National Water Commission (CNA) President Jose Luis Luege Tamargo this week announced a plan to build an alternative dam on the Verde River to supply drinking water to Guadalajara, thus effectively killing the polemic Arcediano Dam dead in its tracks.
