The mayors of Zapopan, Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque have given a thumbs down to a second BRT Macrobus line, in effect scrapping the state government’s master plan for a network of rapid and preferential bus lines throughout the metro area.
Instead, the Institutional Revolution Party (PRI) mayors will throw their weight behind an additional subway (Tren Ligero) line to run along the same route.
