Since March 20, some airlines have been asking Visa Waiver Program (VWP) passengers for their Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) numbers prior to boarding flights from Mexico to the United States. Passengers who have an ESTA authorization but do not have their numbers with them may experience boarding difficulties.
