Drivers heading to Guadalajara from Jocotepec on Federal Highway 15 next year will be able to take advantage of a new third “passing” lane now under construction.
The straight-away leading from Jocotepec to the town of Buena Vista is just about ready for pavement and three large excavators are digging into the hills from that town up toward the Ciudad del los Niños orphanage. According to a Secretary of Communications and Transportation (SCT) spokesperson, construction is due to be completed by December 31, barring any delays due to heavy rainfall.
