Tried-and-true Crime Stopper hotline goes live trials

Following a month of trials, the Community Safety Initiative (CSI Chapala) has fully activated the bilingual Anonymous Witness Hotline, in association with Crime Stoppers International and the Chapala Police Department.

The system has been set up as a tool for aiding local law enforcement identify and locate criminals who prey on the community and eventually bring them to justice. It is not designed as channel for reporting crimes, but rather one allowing private citizens to anonymously finger perpetrators without fear of reprisals.
