Puerto Vallarta hotels reported a spike in occupancy as 40,000 people turned up on June 20 for a free outdoor concert starring the likes of Alejandro Fernandez and Enrique Iglesias.
But was the state-funded concert a false dawn? Three weeks later business is still slow, say many hoteliers in the resort.
