I can direct the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra

I can direct the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra

Dear Sir,

I know that the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra has not yet made a decision on their next music director. I am still very interested in the position and I am confident that a majority of the orchestra would be happy with this decision. We have worked together on every type of program imaginable, from ballet and opera to Stravinsky and Berlioz, from Marquez to music for the Juegos Panamericanos. That is a wide range of styles and genres to have at one’s command, especially with facility and conviction.

Stop the WalMart sign

Dear Sir,

WalMart in San Antonio Tlayacapan is preparing to install a sign. It will be 15 meters from the parking lot to the top of the sign. The sign itself will be 7.5 meters x 2.25 meters. You can see the huge base prepared for the sign behind the bus stop at WalMart on the carretera.

Love In Action has nothing to do with illegal adoption

Dear Sir,

This letter is in response to the public coverage of erroneous stories recently circulated about the Love in Action Children’s Center. It has been falsely reported that Love in Action Children’s Center, located in Chapala, Jalisco, has been involved in practices associated with the alleged illegal Irish adoptions of Mexican children.

Relieved the Community Awards have been postponed

Dear Sir,

I for one am relieved the Community Awards have been postponed.  I was thrilled when I heard I had been nominated, but much less so when I saw I was ‘competing’ with Moonjeen King and her community centre in Tepehua.  How do you choose between needy, battered women and needy, battered animals?  They all desperately need our help.

Two local Mexican women initiated the Melaque meeting

Dear Sir,

Thank you for publicizing the efforts of the community of Melaque, Jalisco to educate the public about the need for better security.
