Dear Sir,
I have read all the brouhaha between the Tea Baggers and the Liberals, Progressives, what ever term you want. I think rather than throwing brick bats at each other, we should agree to disagree. We should admit that we have very different world views and are likely to continue to do so. Back in the day, I did a little lobbying at the state legislature. We sat down with the Republicans and found areas of agreement and hammered out compromise legislation we could all support. It seems that compromise is now a dirty word. And we are all the losers.And please stop with the victimhood. You are not suffering “taxation without representation”. Your guys lost. I have been a liberal Democrat in a fairly conservative state for many years. We just kept plugging along until we turned the state around. That’s how a democracy works.
