One of the Lake Chapala area’s most well-known Mexicans is probably off the radar of many Americans and Canadians retirees living in the region.
Born in Ocotlan, near the banks of Lake Chapala, Carlos Salcido has represented his country at the national game of soccer on 77 occasions. In the next few days, the 30-year-old is almost certain to move from his Dutch club of PSV Eindhoven to the richest soccer league in the world – the English Premier League.
